
Day one of two day Antiques sale. To include: Arthur Windley's Model Fairground Collection
Arthur Windley started his Fairground about 40 years ago after buying five scratch built Rides from Keys. He spent some time restoring these before realising that he could make similar Rides himself. The collection now boasts thirty Rides, nearly all working, with lights and music. There are also three Organs including one with Fairground front.
Each of the Rides are about 22" wide x 22" tall including three abreast Gallopers, a Cake Walk, a Switchback, a Big Wheel and two others that were engineer built.
The Fairground has been seen on local television on several occasions.
The collection was offered as one lot and sold to an anonymous telephone bidder for £6500Porcelain, Glass, Metalware, Bijouterie, Objects d`art, Bronzes and other Collectables and Militaria
