A Staffordshire figure of Heenan and Sayers, boxing group, mid/late 19th Century.

The boxing match was the first international fight in history, held in Hampshire.
John Heenan was the American champion and Tom Sayers the British.
The crowd was thousands strong , with many celebrities , aristocrats and politicians

Repairs / restornation to arms and centre. Heavy crack to one nape.
