THOMAS BEWICK 27 VOL IN ONE. THE FISHERS GARLAND and On the Pleasure and Utility of Angling A Paper read to the Waltonian Club Of Newcastle on Tyne, July 27th, 1824, By William Andrew Mitchell 1824. Bound with the Fisher's Garland, 24 volumes, 1821-45, Newcastle: printed for William Garrett, The Fisher's Farewell to his Favourite Stream on the approach of Winter, Newcastle, printed for Emerson Charnley, 1824 and The Auld Fishers Invitation, 1824. Only 200 to 300 copies were printed of each number. Most of these short lyrics on the subject of angling were first published as broadsides by Charnley, who reprinted them in octavo form for the years 1821-1831, supplying Boaz' Angler's Progress for the year 1820. *Scarce. Pleasure and Utility of Angling [32pp] Bound with a run of 24 volumes of the Fishers Garland, [7pp and 8pp]. With the Auld Fishers Invitation [7pp], and The Tyne Fisher's Farewell to his Favourite Stream bound to the end [8pp].**Bound in a modern half calf binding measuring: 20cm x 13.3cm. Please see photographs as part of condition report: Bound in a modern half morocco binding with marbled boards. The binding remains firm, some rubbing to the extremities. Bound with later marbled endpapers and pastedowns with multiple blank endpapers to the back. Text block secure, book plate to the front pastedown, occasional spotting and light browning to the pages otherwise clean

Items still on-site after 7 days will be subject to storage fees of £5.00 + VAT per day, per invoice. These must be settled before lots can be released.
If the hammer price is reached in these fees, we reserve the right to cancel the sale and any paid monies will be forwarded to the original vendor and become non-refundable.
