First World War Australian Battle of the Somme Casualty medal group of three comprising of 1914-15 Star, 1914-18 War Medal and 1914-19 Victory Medal impressed to Pte 1741 Norcliffe Crossley, C Company, 11th Battalion Australian Infantry Force, together with memorial death plaque named to Norcliffe Crossley, Parchment scroll, Photograph portraits, ephemera and photographs of Pte Crossley and his family, assorted Australian Commonwealth Military force cap badges, collar dogs, metal shoulder titles.

Born 1890, Son of Samuel and Edith Crossley, of "Woodlands," Welling, Kent, England. Born at Westcombe Park, London, England. Joined 20th January 1915

Served at Gallipoli and then posted on the Western Front in France, where he was subsequently killed on 25th July 1916 aged 26 during the Battle of Pozières during the heavy German Artillery Bombardment and is commemorated at VILLERS-BRETONNEUX MEMORIAL, France and was Listed as "Missing" on the Casualty List issued by the War Office from 6th September 1916.
