First World War British 1914-19 Victory medal (Lacking ribbon) impressed to 8714 Pte Herbert Percy Yallop, Norfolk Regiment.

Herbert Percy Yallop, Born 15th February 1895 in the Parish of St. Juliens in Norwich, Joined the Royal Navy as a boy sailor aged 16 on the 15th Februrary 1911, trained at Ganges training ship, but was discharged for being unfit on 15th september 1911. he then Enlisted into the 1st Battalion Royal Norfolks with the service number 8714, on the 11th September 1912, landed in France on the 16th August 1914. Was wounded on the 18th September 1914 and was admitted to hospital in Stoke, Devonport. He later transfered to 2/H.S. Garrison Battalion Suffolk Regiment with the service number 35457 and then later to the 11th Hampshire Regiment with service Number 55707. Discharged aged 24 on the 16th August 1918 due to his wounds. .

Married Elsie Mabel Yallop, died 18th January 1965 aged 69.
