William James Boddy (British, 19th Century),' The Golden Gleam', watercolour, signed, framed, oval mounted and glazed. 21x16ins. *Son of an architect, W.J. Boddy (1832-1911) followed in the same profession, moving to York in 1853 as assistant to George Jones. A master draughtsman, Boddy exhibited in York and London from 1865-to 1879. A folio of his work was presented to the Prince of Wales in 1900.
