We aim to keep our seller charges as simple and transparent as possible.
There is a small charge for each lot entered, and a percentage commission charged once the item has been sold. All charges are usually deducted from the seller’s account prior to settlement.
Our standard seller commission is charged at 15% of the Hammer Price (the selling price)
A handling, cataloguing and photography fee (“lotting fee”) is charged per lot, per sale, on all entered items (whether sold or unsold)
This varies depending on which sale the items are entered:
- Weekly Sales – £2 per lot
- Monthly and Specialist Sales (other than Fine or East Anglian sales) – £3 per lot
- The East Anglian Sale – £5 per lot (to include printed catalogue illustration)
- Fine Sales – £10 per lot (to include printed catalogue illustration)
This charge includes insurance under our policy until such time as the items are sold.
Please note that Electrical items, where accepted for our weekly sales, are required to be “PAT”-tested for safety prior to selling – there is a charge for this of £3 per item.
Please note that all of our charges will have VAT added at the standard rate. Charges correct as at 1st April 2020.
Additional disposal charges may apply to unsaleable lots unless collected upon request.
